My current skincare saviours from Kiehl's

Hi Beauties,

My skin had been feeling pretty dry lately, with patches of dry peeling skin, uneven skin tone and generally looking a bit blegghhh!  So I went shopping the other day with the intention to go into Kiehl's to buy some skincare.  I have heard so many fantastic reviews and comments about the Kiehl's range that my mind was made up.....and I can happily say, no regrets.

When I walked in, the lady offered to measure the hydration levels of my skin, with a cool little gadget, as suspected, I was really dehydrated.  The lady in store recommended these two product's, one being the Powerful strength line reducing concentrate, not that I am old and wrinkly just yet, I believe prevention is better than cure, and the other being The hydro plumping re-texturising serum concentrate.

I am so happy to have been recommended these two products my skin is so very grateful for them.

Powerful Strength Line Reducing Concentrate:-
This bottle of goodness, claims to reduce those fine lines, the ones found around the corners of the mouth and the outer corners of the eyes, it improves skin appearance and texture.  I have been using this for 3 weeks and I have already seen an improvement in the condition of my skin.
It has 10.5% of vitamin C which is known to brighten and tighten the skin, also good for those fine lines.  It also has an ingredient called Propylene glycol, which is used as a moisture carrying ingredient and absorbs water from the air.  So far my face feels softer, smoother and whenever I apply this, my skin has a bright glow to it.  It absorbs really quickly into my skin and doesn't leave no sticky residue after.  I am a fan of layering and have been using it underneath The hydro plumping re-texturising serum.  The Powerful Line Reducing Concentrate can be found HERE

The Hydro Plumping Re-texturising serum :-
This product claims to deeply hydrate the deeper layers of skin by using a liquid to serum formula while plumping and smoothing fine lines.  Initially when I felt the texture it actually felt like a primer, the type you use before foundation,  I didn't think it would do much other than sit on the top layer of my skin.  When I then applied it the  serum absorb straight into my skin and didn't leave an oily residue behind making my skin feel really smooth and fresh instantly.

I have been using the two products together since purchasing 3 weeks ago.  I am so impressed in the appearance of my skin at the moment, it feels and looks so much more healthier.  I am the type of girl that wears foundation everyday, not because I necessarily need it, but more for that overall even look and finish.  Since using both of these on my skin I've not had to wear foundation and like how my skin is looking without foundation. The Hydro Plumping Re-texturising serum can be found HERE

Overall I am loving the Kiehl's products so far and can't wait to try more in the range.  Do you use any Kiehl's products? Or are there any skincare products you are loving this time of year?

Blogmas Day 4- beauty advent calendar- spot light lipgloss- The edit

Hi Beauties,

Todays beauty calendar was a lovely surprise as it was a Spot light lipgloss.... I love getting makeup treats.  The shade was a gorgeous Hot pinky red, conveniently called HOT.  I loved how it felt on my lips it glided on like a lip cream but had a high gloss finish.

It had a mirror and an led spot light that you press at the top of the lid.  So so handy when you are out and about for the party season you just need this one lipgloss and don't need to carry a mirror around in your bag or look for lighting on a night out.  Really lovely product.  Quick tip don't do what I did, I nearly blinded myself with led light, warning it's very bright. :)

I think they can be found on amazon? However, I am not entirely sure.  If any one else knows where I can get more from this range I'd love to know where?

**THE EDIT**  I have since found out that Sue Moxley products are available in selected Tesco extra stores nationwide..... makes perfect sense since it is a Tesco beauty advent calendar :)

Blogmas-Day 3- Advent calendar treat.

Hi Beauties,

For day 3 of my advent calendar I got the Paul smith Extreme fragrance.
I've not smelt this before but was totally surprised at how nice it actually does smell.
It has a warm powdery floral scent.  It reminds me of christmas and the winter season.

Blogmas day 2:- Beauty advent calendar- Tanya Burr Nail Polish

Hi Beauties,

I will  be posting twice today and a third later on today to catch up with my beauty advent calendar as today is day 4!....

I am a huge fan of Tanya burr, she was one of the first beauty vloggers I came across and who inspired me to venture into the world of blogging and vlogging, (still a working progress).

So when I opened the second day of my beauty advent calendar I was so happy to have received a Tanya burr nail product!

This gorgeous colour is perfect for winter and I only needed 2 coats which is pretty good.  It is a dark sparkly purple called Midnight sparkle.  I loved the packaging too and the small attention to detail like the pink heart on top of the lid.

Can't wait to try more from her range this nail polish is for sale for £3.99 in Superdrug! Grab yourself a bargain!

Tesco Beauty Advent Calendar 24 days of Beauty:- Day 1- Eylure lashes and my TIPS

Hi Beauties!

It has been some time since I blogged but I assure you there is a good reason (well I hope you all see it as a good enough reason) keep checking the blog to find out :)

Soooo as you all probably know it's the 1st of DECEMBER! A very festive month for us all, whether you choose to celebrate it or not we all get drawn into the festive offers in store and  all the bright lights around!  It is also the time of year when blogggers do blogmas and vloggers do vlogmas.  It simply means that you blog or vlog everyday of December preferably all christmassy and festive related.

Now I am aware I have been slacking so I don't want to make any promises as yet, but I recently purchased a beauty advent calendar from Tesco!  I thought it would be really exciting to show you everyday what I get in the calendar and if I'm brave enough a few other non related advent calendar posts in between.

I present to you.... the 1st day of December surprise....

I personally couldn't have asked for anything better.  I love eye related products and false lashes are my number one favourite item!

You get the number 116 which is lengthening, perfect for a day look or evening look.
All my friends come to me when they want them stuck on so I seem to be a little bit of a pro at applying them.

Here are my tips at applying a set of lashes.

1) Apply all your makeup first including liquid eyeliner if you are using it.

2) Personally I don't apply mascara to my lashes until AFTER I have stuck lashes on, I find this works better for me as the strip sticks better.

3) Line up the strip and if its too long, trim the outer edge little by little until you are happy with how they sit.

4) Apply the glue to the strip lash line and with a pair of tweezers whoosh them around in the air so it becomes a little bit tacky.

5) Then look down and with your tweezers  place on lash line really really close to the root,  then flip tweezers around using the blunt side and gently press all free edges into place.

6) Slowly look up making sure you haven't accidentally stuck a few from your bottom lashes onto the top, if you have don't panic, using the blunt side of the tweezers look to the side and release them.

7) Once you are finally happy with how they are sitting apply your liquid liner close to the strip lash line to help conceal it more and with a mascara wand press your natural lashes onto your strip, don't  apply up and down like you would normally literally press it into the lashes, for me this acts like an extra safety barrier.

Hopefully with all those steps in place you will have long flirty fluttery lashes all night and they won't lift either!

Let me know how you get on, does any one else have a Beauty advent calendar and will you be sharing your goodies too?

L'Oreal Collection Exclusive Lipsticks Pure Reds and Nude range- Swatches and Review

Hi Beauties!

I am back with a lippy review!  I was having a mooch around the shops and stumbled upon the Collection Exclusive range by L'Oreal Pure Reds which launched this autumn and the nude range which I believe launched some time last year.

They base the lipstick shades on the beautiful L'Oreal celebrity ambassadors, each with an individual look and skin tone.  The idea is to see what your skin tone and hair colour most resembles and to choose a shade based on that ambassador.  There's a shade for everyone!
Firstly I would like to comment on their beautiful packaging.  I've not seen any thing so luxurious from a high street brand, gorgeous! All the ambassadors of L'Oreal who represent these lipsticks have signed the packaging.

I however didn't base my choices on my hair colour or skin completion, I wanted one from each range and chose what stuck out the most.

L'Oreal Color Riche Collection Exclusive  Doutzan NUDE

I found this to be a creamy consistency and very sheer.  I opted for this shade as I often like a baby pink/nude shade on my lips, however in hindsight this may have been too frosty and sheer for my liking.  It is the lightest in the nude collection.  I found it to be really moisturising on my lips.  I can see how this lipstick would suit a fairer complexion, like the chosen celeb ambassador for this lipstick Doutzen Kroes.

L'Oreal Color Riche Collection Exclusive Julianne's Pure Red:-

This shade is Juliannes pure red shade.  It has a matte finish but it's not an uncomfortable matte, it still feels moisturising on the lips. Throughout the day I found it to last most of the day, after a few drinks and sandwiches here and there it left a stained reddy lip which I really liked.  It's a really bright red with a slight pinky undertone which is why I think I loved this one so much more than my chosen nude shade.

Overall my favourite shade out of the two was the Juianne Pure Red range.  I would like to try more in the nudes range too.
They are reasonably priced at £6.99 and currently on a 3 for 2 at Boots hurry you can buy the whole collection HERE.

Which range is your favourite?  Do you have any lipsticks from the Pure reds or the Nudes range?

These are just a few favourites selected from my holiday.  I hope you enjoyed them did you go away this summer?

Models OWN:- Nail polishes I love

Hi Beauties!

Once again I have slacked terribly with posting!  I have since discovered I'm terrible at time management and that is why I am so rubbish at typing blog posts and making videos! HELP!

Any way I won't go on about it too much as who knows a miracle might happen?? I thought instead I would show you a few nail polish purchases I bought from Models Own recently before my trip on holiday.
I will also be posting a few holiday pictures in my next post! So stay tuned!

Beach bag

Coral Reef

Pukka Purple

Bubblegum

Beach bag- This is a gorgeous neon coral shade and it's from their tan enhancer collection, so it makes your tan look nicer.  I really love this shade.

Coral Reef- Is a really glam neon orange red shade (wow that was a mouthful), if you love a red nail polish but fancy a change then this orange under tone is perfect.

Pukka Purple- is from the ice neon collection, it comes in a frosted bottle which is meant to be stored in the fridge to keep its intense neon colour. The ice collection are all matte finish.  I love this purple shade as its almost a dark blue and purple it's really pretty and wearable.

Bubblegum- This is my favourite shade of pink at the moment as we are still in august so I think its gorgeous and vibrant for the summer!  This too is from the ice neon range and also has a matte finish!

Hope you enjoyed my swatches on my Models own nail polishes.

Which one do you like? or maybe own?

Maybelline baby lips pink punch

Hi Beauties!
Lately I have been loving this lip balm from Maybelline.  I have been slathering it all over my lips everyday and have loved the way it leaves my lips feeling and I love the colour!

It comes in 6 shades.  I chose the shade PINK PUNCH and it smells really fruity and juicy like a fruit punch drink.
It has an SPF 20 which a big plus in my books as it's been so sunny lately, I love the thought of my lips being protected from the harsh rays of the beaming sun.

It claims to have up to 8 hours lip protection.
I have found this to be really moisturising for me I don't need to really top up, but I have done after drinking and eating.  I wear it on its own as it has a hint of colour so I wear it everyday with my makeup.

This beauty gets a big thumbs up from me, I might just go and order all 6 shades (minus 1 as I already have one :)) at the amazing price of £2.99 Boots are currently doing an offer on them where you can buy 1 and get a 2nd one half price!! Not sure how long the offer is on for.  You can find them HERE.

Do you own any lip balms from the Baby lips range?

Lee Stafford- De-stress the Mess Detangling comb

    Hi Beauties,

I thought I would  do a quick post on this fantastic comb I stumbled upon in Boots.

As you may or may not have heard me ramble on before about how thick my hair is, well if you haven't I'll quickly tell you that its thick, gets really knotty at the littlest of movement, dry and brittle (all self inflicted of course, I can't resist changing my hair colour like every month!!!)

So that said the only way I can manage my unruly hair is by brushing it with loads and loads of conditioner in the shower while it's still wet, thats great but my hairdresser has told me that brushing my hair when it's wet causes it to break more (because apparently our hair goes like elastic when wet, did you know that??).  She suggested I buy a form of comb, as I always brush it with a paddle brush.

I went into Boots for a random look and I remembered the comb I had to buy.  In the brush section there was plenty of choice, but what stuck out to me was this bright pink comb!

The comb is infused with argan oil which is an amazing treatment for hair.  Lee Stafford has a really big Argan oil range infused in shampoos and conditioners.

The comb is designed to ring out excess water when you comb through it so its less damaging, and really helped with detangling my knotty hair.

I totally loved using this in the shower it even has a handy suction at the end to stick it to the tiles in the bathroom, handy!

The brush is a reasonable £4.99 and can be purchased from HERE

What comb do you use to brush your hair out after you wash it?
