Navy blue playsuit- LUXEMME

Hi Beauties,

I bring to you a different type of blog post today.  My first fashion post.  I was recently contacted by a lovely company called LUXEMME who asked if I would like to try an item from their range.  I chose this pretty Navy blue swing playsuit.  I teamed it with Tan heels and tights for a winter evening look, I love tan and Navy blue together.  It has a lovely open back and long flowing sleeves.  It made me feel like a goddess! I wore it with a chunky statement necklace, I think it would look pretty teamed with gold accessories as well.

Here is a little bit more about Luxemme.  A forward thinking fashion brand combining Parisian chic with Manchester street style. Cool, clean cut and completely on trend, Luxemme sources the finest in affordable luxury fashion that fuses classic fashion trends with emerging en vogue, edgy looks.
Made in Manchester for the fashion conscious who like to fill their wardrobes with chic staple pieces for a sophisticated look, Luxemme is a brand that aims to be a pioneer in the fashion industry, delivering premium clothing with a realistic price tag.

The playsuit retails at £30.00 and can be found HERE.  I think their items are all reasonably priced and love their clothing line, can't wait to try something else out from their range.

Benefit Advent Calendar Party popper 2015 and Benefit Get your party on gift set 2015

Hi Beauties!!

As we prepare for the festive season and all the gift buying and gorgeous sets out in the shops I thought I'd help some of you who would like a little help in that department.
I present to you the Benefit Advent Calendar Party Popper and the Benefit Get your Party On gift set.

Benefit Advent Calendar Party Poppers 2015

Benefit always manage to do it, where they make such gorgeous advent calendars they are impossible to get hold of, causing such excitement in the beauty world everyone wants one.  Last year I tried to get my hands on the Benefit advent calendar it was impossible, I was never going to stand a chance, unless they magically sent me one I was never going to get it.  So this year I prepared myself, being sold in Debanhams, I checked every hour, every day, yes very, very sad but I'am one determined girl an addiction is an addiction, and after a long wait I got it! HORAY!

This years calendar is a lot more smaller and compact then the years before, I think that this may be because they wanted to produce more of them so that us beauty addicts stood more of a chance at owning one of these gorgeous calendars. Instead of the 24 days of christmas, this years is the 12 days of gorgeous.  When you open it up it plays a seasonal 'Bene-song', you can hear the demo play if you head over to my instagram @beautybyhanan.

It is worth £79.17 but retails at £34.50
The packaging is really fun and 80's neon theme. All the christmas gift sets and calendar have this fun eye catching packaging which looks great on my makeup desk. They all scream PAARRTTTAAAYY!

Now for the great reveal, WARNING if you own a calendar or are thinking of purchasing one and don't want to ruin the surprise, just know that they are really lovely items and any makeup lover should own. Close your eyes and scroll down to Look at the Benefit Get your party on gift set.

Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette

Hi Beauties,

Today I wanted to show you the Beautiful Urban Decay vice 4 Palette.
I had heard so much about this palette that I really wanted to get my hands on it.  I also created a look using this stunning palette.

Firstly I'd like to just touch down on the packaging! It's gorgeous! The colours on the outside are so pretty it almost gives you a hint of what lies beneath.  Unboxing it was really exciting! It comes in a box, then a really cool soft pouch with a zip and then the final reveal a gorgeous colourful hard case 3D makeup palette that has a really big mirror.

The palette contains a mix of bright Jewel like shades, soft natural matte shades, and shades laced with micro glitter, which means the looks you can create are endless.

The casing resembles an oil slick, so all the different shades and colours you would see in an oil slick. This was inspired by their vintage shade oil slick.

The colour pay off is stunning it is very pigmented, they blend so well and are buttery with no fall out from the glittery ones.

I created this look using Bitter, Deadbeat, Delete, Grasshopper and a little Arctic.
The urban decay vice 4 palette costs £43.00 and you can find it HERE
I hope you like this post and the look i created.

Mascara: Lash Sensational Maybelline- before and after

Hi Beauties,

So how can I not do a post on mascara?  Mascara completes all my makeup looks, even with false lashes I seal my natural lashes to the lash strip for security.  It is defiantly a desert island item for me.

Now that I've got that off my chest, with all the above said, naturally that makes me a bit of a mascara hoarder, I have so many in my collection that I never finish a tube as I'm always moving on "to the next best mascara"....  So let me introduce you to Lash sensational by Maybelline (by the way it's my second tube).  I love love love this it's not often that I find a mascara I love.

The brush is curved which I find really hugs the lashes, the brush has lots and lots of bristles, both long and short which makes it grab the smallest of lashes. the formula isn't too thick its a really smooth consistency.  With all of those points combined I found it gave me a really thick full look.

TOP TIP:- I also found the best way to apply it was do two coats and then WAIT and then go in again with another layer.  This gives it a chance to dry a little so that every other layer you apply makes it more buildable and you don't end up wiping layers off every time you go in with the brush.  Don't forget to wiggle that mascara wand too, that helps the mascara reach all your lashes.

My picture above is with 4 coats of mascara as I like the more dramatic thicker look, but for those of you who like it more natural I think 2 coats would do the trick perfectly.

This Mascara retails at £7.99 and can be purchased from boots HERE or any one who supplies Maybelline.

Have you tried this mascara?  Do you love it or hate it?

Mac eyeshadow: Havana

Hi Beauties,

Today I bring to the blog, an eyeshadow called Havana from Mac.
I love all warm tone eyeshadows and when recently having a browse around the mac store I stumbled across this gorgeous metallic brown.

This is from Macs extra dimension range hence why the print in the pot also looks 3d dimensional (clever). I found this shade to be golden brown with a metallic shine to it.  It also appears to look different on different parts of the eyelid shape giving that 3d look, well almost anyway.

In the photo I have taken I used just a wash of colour, I applied this with my finger and blended out the edges with a mac blending brush,  this would look gorgeous blended in with a few other deeper shades of  brown.  I haven't tried it with a primer yet but I can imagine it intensifying to a richer metallic shade.  I am not a fan of it being worn on its own, however I am glad I have added this to my selection of brown and golden eyeshadows.

Have you tried the shade Havana? How do you wear yours?

My Top 3 Concealers To Banish Those Dark Circles

Hi beauties,

Having just had a baby I have been on the hunt for something to help get rid of those dark circles that have permanantly planted themselves under my eyes due to sleepless nights.  So far 3 concealers are my top favourites.

Mac Studio Finish Concealer

This little pot is deceiving, it may look small but it goes a long way.  I find this the thickest of the 3 It's more a paste. When applied it does the trick instantly, I find this better to apply with a concealer brush otherwise your fingers seem to wipe this away.  This is also drying on the skin so would benefit someone with a oilier complexion or just make sure you're well moisturised! I love this as my first favourite though and use it everyday.

Mac Pro Longwear Concealer

This is really really pigmented and not one I would use everyday unless I need some serious help in the eye area or have a nasty blemish to conceal.  Again like the Mac studio finish concealer a little really does go a long way.  I find this doesn't crease as much under the eyes and gives amazing coverage! This is a liquid concealer so not as drying as the mac studio finish concealer.

Smashbox BB eyes

This one has a really sheer coverage and I usually use this ON top of one of the concealers above, it just finishes off the look as it brightens and lightens the area loads and goes on really well.  I would recommend this on its on for a more natural look.

I love these 3, but I am always on the look out for even more amazing concealers!  So far these 3 have been treating my dark circles under my eyes.  The two mac ones would also be amazing on blemishes and scars and you really don't have to use lots of product from any of them.

Which concealers do you use?

Where Have I Been?

Hi Beauties,

How are you all?  It feels like I haven't blogged in a while... no wait I HAVEN'T.... It's been something like 6 months?  Well I can explain, I had a baby!

Having a baby is really no excuse to not blog and there are PLENTY of parent bloggers out there but as soon as I got pregnant it just went out the window all motivation to blog (or do anything really) just disappeared.  I had horrible sickness, not just morning sickness all day sickness, so yea it was tough!

However here we are in June and I have a 2 month old baby...yay! My beautiful daughter arrived in April and my 2 older daughters are so happy they have a younger sister, I have a 9 year old and 7 year old btw did I ever mention that?

So although life is busier then ever before I suddenly feel like I got my mojo back, and want to start sharing with you not only makeup and beauty related posts but also baby, lifestyle and parent related posts, I will incorporate all these into my youtube as well.

If you don't already go follow my twitter and Instagram where I post, more than I blog :)
